|The High School Student STEM Event is aimed at the next generation of oil & gas professionals and their educators. This workshop offers the opportunity for high school students and teachers to engage and gain valuable insight into the industry.|
The Energy4me student and teacher workshop believes in the importance of giving teachers the tools they need to comfortably teach students on energy choices and careers. Hands-on activities provide educators with interactive, age-appropriate experiments using basic household items that illustrate energy concepts within the industry. The experiments are inexpensive and can easily be done in the classroom with their students.
The workshop is structured for school students from grade 10 to grade 12. The programme will include expert speakers, additional student hands-on activities, an Industry Panel Session and an exhibition/technology tour. Students can use these opportunities to learn about emerging technology in the petroleum industry, career opportunities, or how energy makes an impact on our everyday lives.
The workshop will cater for 100 students and teachers from 08:30-15:30 hours on Thursday, 24 March 2016.
